The Italian Football Federation , are facing match fixing scandals all over again. This time it is Lazio.
The Lazio captain Stefano Mauri , is now banned for a total of six months , for encouraging match fixing and failing to report them either.
In the year 2011 , he took part in rigging matches between Lazio and Genoa. As well as Lazio and Lecee.
He was finally found guilty in the match between Lazio and Lecee,. But he was cleared of involment in match fixing in the match against Genoa.
The ugly head of scandals in Italy puts it head proudly up again. Only Inter Milan have not been demoted because of such scandals.
