BARCELONA TO WEAR A RETRO NIKE JERSEY WORN IN THE YEAR 1998/1999.

During the second El Classico, or THE CLASSIC, as matches played between the two Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are called the world over. This will be the 20, twentieth anniversary of the El Classico played for the first time in the retro jersey of the famous striped jersey of Barcelona, which was made by NIKE that year. The jersey was very famous as it was only jersey worn by a giant football club, in the world that did not have a sponsorer on the jersey.in fact Barcelona did not have a sponsorer for a period of 111, one hundred and eleven years. The first Sponsor deal was after the recession when Barcelona had the QATAR FOUNDATION printed on the jersey. The players who played for Barcelona in the year 1999 were very famous players like Luis Figo, Rivaldo, Philip Cocu, Luis Enrique, Patrick Kluivert and Pep Guardiola.
