WHY DID DIEGO COSTA PLAY FOR SPAIN, AND NOT BRAZIL.

The Brazilian born Spanish footballer Diego Costa, even though he was born in Brazil, he had also played many years for Atletico Madrid, before  he joined up with he English club Chesea.
He then fell out with  the Chelsea club  and their Italian manager Antonio Conte.
While he  was playing  in Spain for the required years , it made him eligible  for a Spanish Passport. as well.
Clubs do this as it is mandatory by F.I.F.A and U.E.F.A rules  that a club can only have three   footballers playing in single match who are not from  EUROPEAN UNION COUTRIES.
The real reason he did not  play for his homeland Brazil is because the Brazilian manager then called Big Phil Scolari , aid he would phone and speak to Diego Costa , but tat all never came, but he did get a phone call from the manager of the Spanish team. And the rest is history.
