Back in the year 2009, Manchester United were playing in the Champion league against Lyon and during the break Sir Alex Ferguson went and spoke with Kareem Benzema, as e wanted to buy him.
But he had to be literally pulled away by Rio Ferdinand and others.
But Kareem Benzema went and joined Real Madrid, and Sir Alex Ferguson had to look elsewhere..
He ten phoned Michael Owen and told him clearly that he anted to buy Kareem Benzema but in case he fails to do so then Mikael Owen would join Manchester United.
