 Now according to THE SUN, a man named Mark Irwin has said that Lionel Messi very  huge yearly salary  brought Barcelona to its knees ,and on the verge of bankruptcy. So is he correct let us take a look..

 Now the latest contract  was  signed in the year  2017,  and te club Barcelona offered that salary and player and agent agreed . Barcelona  had no problem in paying that salary.

 But then came the Corona Virus  or the Chinese virus , and with lock downs games played behind closed doors, and paying salaries of payers and staff  was very heavy  and  and no income from gatemoney

 The shops  stopped selling things. canteens closed more moey problems.
