 But what people are not aware of is tat during te 1950  to 1970 world cup tere were onky 16, sixteen countries taking part, so tere were   fewer matches.

 In the world cup 2022 there were 34 , thirty-four countries taking part, and  in tge year 2026 tere will be  46  forty six countries.
