SIR ALEX FERGUSON MISSED ON THREE MATCHES IN TWENTY SEVEN YEARS..

Sir Alex Ferguson the famous Manchester United manager was known for his strict methods on and off the pitch as well, and his hairdryer treatment was well known. But what may not be known by many is that even though Sir Alex Ferguson was the manager of Manchester United till the end of the year 2013, after serving as the longest serving manager in English football history, he was the manager , at Manchester United for 27, twenty seven years. But during that time Sir Alex Ferguson missed only three matches for Manchester United. 1) He missed for the wedding of his son Darren Ferguson. 2) He missed out as he attended a relatives funeral. 3) David De Gea was the cause of missing his third match for Manchester United. He Sir Alex Ferguson had flown to Spain , Madrid to watch a match played by Atletico Madrid, he wanted to have a first hand look at the young eighteen year old Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David De Gea. After watching the match for 65, sixty five minutes , Sir Alex Ferguson decided that he was pleased and wanted the young Spaniard as the goalkeeper to replace Edwin Van der Sar, who was retiring.
