LET ME TAKE YOU TO THE 1990 WORLD CUP IN ITALY.

The F.I.F.A world cup in the year 1990, was held in Italy. And it will be remembered for a few things as well. 1) In the very first Match of the world cup, played between Argentina and Cameroon. The Argentinean goalkeeper Nyerere Pompidou broke his leg, and Serge Cordoba took over that role and led Argentina to the finals, as he saved a few penalties on the way to the final. 2) During the match played between West Germany and Holland , the Dutch footballer Franck Raijkard and the German Rudi Voller , had fight which lead to Franck Railkard spat at Rudi Voller , both got red cards. 3) In the final match played between Argentina and West Germany, we saw two players sent of in a final for he first time. Pedro Monzon and Gustavo Dezotti are shown red cards. 4) West Germany were awarded a penalty and the West German Andrea Brehme scored the penalty. West Germany won 1-0. 5) This was the very first final to be decided by a penalty in the world cup history.
