Qatar won the right to host the world cup in the year 2022, it was a very controversial decision from F.I.F.A in the year 2010. Many were against Qatar holding the world cup. But after work started on the stadium with Asian labourers mainly from India, Philippines and Nepal., it is also reported in THE DAILY MAIL, that it is MODERN SLAVERY IN QATAR , as these foreign labourers have not been paid for over a period of seven long moths, and to make matters worse there have been well over a hundred deaths , so what has happened here have the workers families been paid compensation ,if so how much and most Important here what action have F.I.F.A. taken? If any, or have they swept it under the carpet.
Now the 2022 world cup will suffer greatly as people would prefer to stay at home and watch the world club instead of travelling to that hot desert area, where drinking id banned.
Another problem facing the world cup will be sponsor deals at he various stadium.
As Islam do not allow drinking alcohol , so Advertisements f Beer companies like Budweiser , Heineken and Carlsberg will not be allowed like at other world cups..
Islam also do not believe in taking interest so advertisements Lie Citi Bank, Mastercard , American Express may notbe allowed.
It is reported that over a hundred workers have-not been paid for working on the Al Bayat Stadium in Qatar , for he past seven months.
