Now Lionel Messi has come forward to say that he will be staying on in Barcelona till the end of the season of 2021..
He had earlier said that he would be leaving Barcelona in the summer transfer window of 2020.But after talks between Barcelona and the agent of Lionel Messi's father Jorge Messi.
Now Jorge Messi was saying that his client Lionel Messi wanted to leave Barcelona and join Manchester City..But it appears that Jorge Messi has not understood the contract, or failed to read it properly.
Now according to the contract Lionel Messi has a clause that says he must give a letter on or before 10//6/2020, but Lionel Messi sent a fax on 25/8/2020, saying he wanted to leave Barcelona at the end of the long 2019/2020 season.
Now Jorge Messi has said that in the contract there is no mention of a buy out clause of 700 Million Euros or 631 Million Pounds. But in the clause number 8.3 and clause number 2.6. also clearly states that the buy out clause and amount are very clearly written.
And Lionel Messi does not want to have a court case with Barcelona.
