The Board of Barcelona had a ongoing meeting with their lawyers and the players to try and save the famous football club Barcelona from going bankrupt.
But the players failed to agree to any form of a pay cut. But all is not yet lost as a meeting is fixed for more of these talks to be held on 23/11/2020.
Now according to the byelaws of Barcelona, the club can not spend more then 70,seventy percent on the wages of their players. Now with the income hitting all football clubs due to the COVID 19, or the Chinese Virus, Barcelona is spending over 80, eighty percent of their earnings on players sages.
Only four players have agreed to take a pay cut at Barcelona, and they are Gerrard Pique, Clement Linglet,, Andres Ter Stergen. Frenkie De Jong.
But what will really happen to Barcelona if tey fail to agree terms ewith their players?
Barcelona could be relegated and be put under a admistratar, and could have nine points deducted for the new season as well.
