A great deal is said and written about yhe many goals scored by Pele, Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. All have scored sacks of goals in their long and glittering careers.
But one point is forgotten sadly here by the millions of football fans around the world.
But what fans do not know is that inthe days of Pele and Diego Maradona the distance between the two goal posts were much smaller, so scoring goals were more difficult.
But then F.I.F.A changed the rules after the 1994 world cup F.I.F.A decided to imcrease the breadth of the goal, as it was decided by F.I.F.A to increase the size of the goalposts .
The reason being that for many world cups say 1974 , the player winning the GOLDEN BOOT at a world cup all scored six goals, in the 1958 world cup Just Fountaine scored 13, thirteen goals., this record still stands.
