WHEN LIVERPOOL AGREED TO BUY CRISTIANO RONALDO, BUT WHAT WENT WRONG.

  Now Liverpool have come and said back in the yearr 2003/2004, Liverpool were very keen on a youngster of about 17, seventeen years and at that time he was playing for the Portuguese club from Lisbon called Sporting Lisbon.

 And he transfer fee for young Cristiano Ronaldo was a small sum of 4.5, four and a alf million pounds,and the two clubs then agreed  for te transfer fee. But then where did it all go wrong for Liverpool.

But Liverpool could not agree to the high weekly salary which Cristiano Ronaldo was asking for..

Now the weekly wages asked by Cristiano Ronaldo, was the same as what Michael Owen was getting at Liverpool.

 And mind you Michael Owen had just won the BALLON d'OR that year.  So paying a kid who eas new to English football was not going to wwork here.
