Back in the year 1983/1984 Barcelona had just lost their LA LIGA title to the Basque region club Athletic Bilbao And Andoni Goikaetxea also known as THE BUTCHER OF BILBAO, for his very rough and dangerous game, he had earlier broken the ankle of Diego Maradona, but both Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao met that year in the Copa Del Rey cup final match.
Now Diego Maradona was just itching for revenge on the butcher.. And when the Bilbao player Miguel Solo told Maradona to F_ _ _K OFF, he gave the Bilbao a headbutt that knocked him down, ad he elbowed another player as well and ended with giving a few karate kicks as well. By this time the Barcelona players joined the fun.
The match was played at the Bernabeu , mind you there were a 100,000 spectators and Juan Carlos of Spain was sitting in the stands as well.
Barcelona said they had enough of Diego Maradona, and sold him to Napoli.
