WHEN WEST HAM UNITED WERE FINED FOR BUYYYING TWO FOOTBALLERS.

Now in the year 2005, the English club Sheffield United  wanted to buy a striker and a holding midfielder. That time the Brazilian club Corinthians , put up not one player but two players for sale, and both were Argentineans , they were Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano .

Sheffield United were interested and got talks stared to buy both of them.

But out of the blue West Ham United  came into the picture and got the deal done and dusted  on the very last day pf the transfer window.

Now Carlos Tevez   single handedly  saw that West Ham United were not relegated.

But Sheffield United  were relegated that year.

But F.I.F.A acted swiftly here and fined West Ham United 18,eighteen million pounds.

This was why the club was fined. According to F.I.F.A's rules  a player must have a registered agent, and can not belong to a third party, the deal should go thtrough with the clus and agents only.

But here both Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez were not owned by any club in Brazil , but to a third party.
