In so doing he has now gone and over taken Xavi Hernandez , who had played 505 games for Barcelona, in his long and glittering career.
But please note he is not the player to play the most games for Barcelona.
The player to play the most games for Barcelona is Andoni Zubizerrata, who was the goalkeeper for Barcelona in the late 1980s and the 1990s. He played 622 games for Barcelona .
