The former Brazilian world cup winner and former Barcelona striker, Rivaldo, has now said that Barcelona really made a very big mistake by not selling, their Argentinean striker Lionel Messi in the summer transfer window of 2020.
He also said that Barcelona could have sold him for a 100, one hundred million pounds like Cristiano Ronaldo was sold to Juventus, or a 100, one hundred million pounds.
But even the interim president of Barcelona , had said this same ting. And I am very much surprised at these two people.
This is why Barcelona did not sell Lionel Messi. In his contract it is very clearly mentioned that Lionel Messi can leave Barcelona at the end of he season. But he had to give a letter to the club concerning this before or on 10/6/2020. This point was not noticed by Lionel Messi or his agent Jorge Messi,
The president of the Spanish La Liga , Mr Javier Tebas , said as the letter was not written to Barcelona, Lionel Messi can not leave at the end of the season, yes he can leave at the end of his contract in June 2022.
