Back in the year 2000 ,that is twenty four years ago, at te EURO CUP 2000 , Italy Played Holland in one match.
Teh managers of Holland was Franck Raijkard. and fItaly was Fabio Capello.
Then whathappened on the pitch. has remained very fresh imy memory.
In te match the Dutch no nonsense defender Jaap Stam, went for te ball in the air, but he fin hand of the Italian hit Jaap Stam on te eyebrow, leading to a big cut and nleding.
A substitute was getting ready to take Jaap Stams place.But Jaa Stam told raijkard p.,plese do not substitute me , I will be back soon.
