SIR GEOFF HURST ALMOST GAVE UP FOOTBALL FOR CRICKET.

Sir Geoff Hurst the only footballer ever to score a hat trick in the 1966 world cup final in England. Geoff Hurst who played his club football with West Ham United, along with sir Bobby Moore. Geoff Hurst reported in THE DAILY MIRROR, that he nearly gave up fotball in the year 1962 four years before the famous 1966 world cup win against West Germany. He was more keen to be a cricketer and also played for Essex second eleven. But what would have happened if he really did quit football? England would still be waiting for their first world cup even today.

THE ENGLISH F.A ADMIT TREATING BOBBY MOORE BADLY.

The English F.A have admitted that they have failed to treat Sir Bobby Moore well, in his life time, they awake from their slumber after twenty long years. And that to after his death due to cancer. Sir Bobby Moore was the captain of Englands world cup winning team in the year 1966. And Gepff Hurst who scored a hat trick in the game said England has no chance of winning the world cup fpor two generations. The F.A. will do something I hope , after all they treated their hero very harshly in the end.

STEVEN GERRARD TO PLAY 100 GAMES.

Steven Gerard the Liverpool captain , is now ready to become only the sixth player to play a hundred games for England. He will reach this honor of hundred gamesfor England when he plays a friendly match verses Sweden. The other six to do it are 1) Sir Bobbt Moore, 2) Sir Bobby Charlton, 3) Peter Shilton, 4) David Beckham, 5) Billy Wright and 6) Steven Gerard.

DAVID BECHAM EQUALS BOBBY MOORES RECORD.

David Becham has now equaled the record for an outfield player for england and so has equaled the record set by Sir Bobby Moore with 108 games for england. But the all time record for an English player is 126 games set by the goalkeeper Peter Shilton.

DAVID BECKHEM TO JOIN A.C. MILAN.

David Beckhem the English and Los Angles Galaxy star, is to make a move to A.C.Milan in Italy on a short time loan. The reason is that the Major League soccer season in the U.S.A is over and he wants to play somewhere to impress the English coach Fabio Capello , so that he will be selected for England as he wants to break a record set by Sir Bobby Moore who played 108 games for England . Now David Beckhem has played 106 games for england the same as Sir Bobby Charlton. Once the M.L.S. season starts in the U.S.A, he will have to return there to play for them.
