Real Madrid might have won their tenth champion league title , defeating fellow Madrid club Atletico Madrid, with a score of 4-1 after extra time with goals from Sergio Ramos, Gareth Bale, Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo. Diego Godin scored for Atletico Madrid. As Real Madrid had last won the Champion League in the year 2002, the Spanish giants had pumped in a total of 999 million pounds, nine hunred and ninety nine million pounds on players, almost a Billion pounds. Madness and crimnal waste of money if you ask me. So let us see for ourselves how much did both these Madrid club spend on players in the 2013/2014 Champion League. That day in Lisbon the Real Madrid team were valued at 521.9 Million Pounds. And at the same time the players playing for Atletico Madrid cost a miserly sum of 79.05 million pounds.
