BENFICAS BELLA GUTTMANS CURSE.IS HERE AGAIN.

The football club from Lisbon Portugal , Benfica , reached the 2013/2014 Europea League final . And played the Spanish club Sevilla . After the full ninety minutes they then played thirty minutes of extra time. The match then went into penalties , which Sevilla won 4-2. Did mighty Benfica just loose or was it the ilfamous Bela Guttman curse playying a jinx or spolt spot here. It is called the Bela Guttman curse, as their former manager of Benfica Mr Bela Guttman, walked out of the benfica club over the dispute of Benfica refusing to increase Bela Guttmans salary,. Bela Guttman left cursing the staff of Benfica , and he warned the club that they would suffer a long trophy drought indeed. It is now sixty two years since Benfica have won anything in Europe, No Champion League, U.E.F.A or now Europa League either. They last won the Champion League back to back, with the help of the great Eusebio. Eusibio was brought to the club by Bela Guttman . The great Eusibio even prayed at the grave of Bela Guttman who died in 1981. But no luck as yet, the big question is how many more years will Benfica take to win a trophy in Europe?
