RAFAEL BENITEZ SAYS HE WANTED TO SIGN GARETH BALE FROM SOUTHAMPTON.

Rafael Benitez has said he tried to sign Gareth Bale from Southampton. This was way back in 2007 , when the Spaniard joined Liverpool from Valencia in Spain.. But he says Jamie Carragher wanted to sign the Norweign Jean Arne Rise instead as a defender And then later on Tottenham Hotspurs got Gareth Bale from Southamptn, before they sold him to Real madrid for anew record price of 86, eighty six million pounds.
