Now Tottenham Hotspurs had signed the Croatian Luka Modric from the Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb , for a transfer fee of just 16, sixteen million pounds.. Luka Modric did very well at Tottenham Hotspurs, in fact he really did sparkle there. Luka Modric told Rio Ferdinand that he wanted to move to Manchester United, as it was their glory days under Sir Alex Ferguson. But Sir Alex Ferguson was not at all interested in buying Luka Modric, because of Daniel Levy , the chairman of Tottenham Hotspurs, who is known world over as a very hard negotiator .But really what was the reason for Sir Alex Ferguson, not wanting to do any business with Tottenham Hotspurs? Sir Alex Ferguson when he wanted to buy the Bulgarian striker Dimitrov Berbatov , the talks to well over a year to be concluded, and the Bulgarian Striker got restless and id not want to play at Tottenham Hotspurs , he was a very unhappy man at the club. The Deal was finally signed for a sum f 30.70 thirty point seventy million pounds. As if this deal was a bad experience ,Sir Alex Ferguson had a similar time when Manchester United wanted to buy Michael Carrick, from Tottenham Hotspurs.. So Sir Alex Ferguson did not want to go trough hell with a negotiation with Daniel Levy, for Luka Modric. Luka Modric then was sold to Real Madrid a year later where he won four champion league totles.

WOLVERHAMPTON ASK ONE HUNDRED AND TEN MILLION POUNDS FOR RUBEN NEVES..

The English club Wolverhampton have now set the asking price for their highly talented young midfielder Ruben Neves. Now both the of the two English clubs Manchester United as well as Manchester City , are very keen to sign the youngster. Manchester City are looking at buying Ruben Neves as a replacement for their aging Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho. And Manchester united are wanting him to replace Michael Carrick, who had retired in the summer. And another thing is Jose Mourinho and Reuben Neves share the same agent Jorge Mendes . But what we must remember here is that Reuben Neves , had joined Wolverhampton for just 16, sixteen million pounds from Portugal. So is not the 110 one hundred and ten million pounds a bit to steep her?

Now Manchester United , and Jose Mourinho are quite desperate to buy a midfielder of class to fill the shoes of Michael Carrick, who is retiring at the end of the season. Manchester United are willing to give Arturo Vidal a four year contract , and they are also prepared to give him a weekly salary of 240,000, two hundred and forty thousand pounds. And he will be costing a huge 42, forty two million pounds. But what is not correct here according to me is that Arturo Vidal is already 31, thirty one years , so when he does join he will be 32, thirty two years . So it is criminal to offer this much money to buy and pay weekly salary which is to large. At Arsenal for example a footballer who once reaches the age of 30, thirty years will be given a year long contract with a chance to renew if he does well. For example Dennis Bergkamp the famous Dutch striker was given such a contract till he was 39, thirty nine years old. Now both Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal, share the same agent, and he is in England for talks with Manchester United.

But one thing was made very clear in that match , and it was the Manchester United midfield which were cut ino threads by the Arsenal players. One thing is very clear Michael Carricks eight year term at Manchester United is all but coming to a end. Louis Van Gaal is looking for a young replacement already and wants to buy this midfielder in January. The player wanted is a young Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans , who is just 18 years oldnow, and plays in Belgium with Anderlecht . But one thing is clear many clubs want this mBelgian midfielder so the price will be high.

They have so far spent 58 million pounds on  four players from different countries, with three more from   different other countries, as their contract is not yet signed.
They have signed Paulinho from Brazil, Etinne Copoue France, Robert Soldado Spain, Nacer Chadli Belgium. Others are on their way Cristian Erikson Denmark, Erik Lamela Argentina Vlad Chiriches Romania.
 But let me explain one thing here Tottenham Hotspurs  got only 20 million in their hand for selling Gareth Bale, mind you it is still not a done deal as yet..Real madrid will pay 12.5 million pounds yearly till 2017.
So where  did they get that much money as they have not sold players for big amounts.
Tottenham Hotspurs was a club that encouraged English players  like, Jermaine Defoe, Michael Carrick, David Bentley , Paul Robinson, Jermaine Jenas , Kyle Walker ,Caulker  and others . now they have decided to  do 180 degree circle and get foreigners instead. More trouble for England football  in all groups at world level.

Then why did he not shell out the money to buy a pear of good midfielders. You see the two ever green servants of Manchester United Ryan Giggs and Paul Sholes are both 37 years old, it is not correct to expect them to play 90 minutes each game. But instead of buying midfielders he spent on a deffender a striker and a player unheard or unseen on the pitch Bebe.

Add to the old players the other problem facing Ferguson is that Anderson, Michael Carrick, Owen Hargreaves ,and Antonio Valencia has a broken ankle and will be out for the whole season.

Yes each year Manchester United start slowly in the E.P.L, but this year there is concern and Ryan Giggs has told the team to pull their socks up.

FERGUSON WANTS TO BUY LUCA MODRIC.

Sir Alex Ferguson wants to strengthen his midfield after relations with the Brazilian Anderson turned sour, and there is a talk that Anderson can very well leave Old Trafford.As there is only a few more days left for the transfer window to close on the 31st of August 2009.
Now Ferguson has decided that he wants the Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Luca Modric, to replace Anderson.As Luca Modric is a wonderful and valuable player a playmaker as you may say for the Lillywhites, Spurs. So Ferguson is willing to tempt Harry Redknapp, by giving 10 million pounds and Michael Carrick as free parcel in thedeal. Manchester United have brought many players from the Spurs team like Dimitrov Berbatov, and Michael Carrick as well. But Carrick failed to score a penalty verses Burnley. And we must remember that Manchester United paid Spurs 18 million pounds for him,so it will be 28 million pound deal. But one thing is clear the fans will never ever forgive Redknapp for this . So the chances are very slim for it to happen.
