In the 14, fourteen year period since Chelsea was brought by the Russian Billionaire Roman Abramovich the Chelsea club have really spend huge sums of money on strikers only ,the figures are in fourteen years Chelsea have had nineteen strikers at the club, Alvaro Morato , becomes the nineteenth striker at Chelsea. And of course strikers do not come cheaply , especially now a days . So Chelsea have spent a massive sum of 335, three hundred and thirty five million pounds on strikers. Needless to say that majority had flopped, and only few like Didier Drogba, Nicholas Anelka, Daniel Sturridge did well at Chelsea. Oh what a criminal waste of money I would say.

Wenger would happily sell. Arsene Wenger and myself strongly believe that there is no need to splash a lot of money like Manchester united and Manchester City just to win. We all know it has landed Manchester United in over 700 million pound debt. They now will sell players to generate funds, but it will nothelp them. It is alwaysbetter do what the Professor does, find good players from around the world get them young and cheap and keep them for a few years and develop them . And if need be sell them for a good price.Wenger always gives the youngsters a chance to play in the Comunity shield and the Carling cup, where else will they get a chance to play?He has got discarded players like henry, vieira, Fabregas and Anelka . He got anelka for 500,00 pounds and sold him to Real Madrid for 23.5 million pounds.This is the way to balance yourbooks . he got Overmars cheap and sold him for a record for a Dutch player , to Barcelona for 25 million pounds. Manchester city and Mr Cook are dreaming that money will get the club to the top , it is not so.And can CITY reach a Champion league for ten years in a row.Even Spurs have not got there.Dream on Mr Cook.

WHEN LIVERPOOL FAILED TO BUY ANELKA

Back in 2002 Liverpool had got N. Anelka from the French club P.S.G, on a six month loan. Jammie Carragher says that there was a option for Liverpool to make the six month loan period to a permanent transfer for a sum of 16 million pounds. This match was supposed to be an all one sided affair, on paper at least . More like a David and Goliath case.
All the Chelsea fans may not even realize that the eleven players in the Chelsea team and the three substitutes, was costing a neat amount of 162 million pounds. While on the other hand Burnsley entire team and their substitutes cost the club only six million pounds. So with all the best players on their side we expected Chelsea to win by at least six goals . But it was not that easy . The Danish Goalkeepeer stood loike a wall and fought the Chelsea strikers.It took Chelsea 46minutes to score the first goal by Nickolas anelka. The second was scored by a g0od header byMichael Ballack. And the third goal as scored by Ashley cole a good goal scored from a sharp angle. Jensen the burnley goalkeeper was realy good .

The Arsenal fans must understand that in football, players will get injured, with both minor and major injuries before and even during the season, all clubs face it every year and not Arsenal alone.
Samir Nasri broke his fibula, while practicinghe wanted to kick the ball from one player but the player finaly kicked Nasri and not the ball. These things happen , last year Christiano Ronaldo was out for 6to8 weeks after a ancle operation after Euro 2008.
Arsene Wenger never spends money in the range of 40 million pounds, he makes stars out of youngsters, take Henry, Vieira, Hlep, Flameinni , Adebasyour. These all were sitting on the benches as extras with not much hope, but see where they are now. MADRID WILL PAY MANCHESTER IN INSTALMENTS

Real Madrid have purchased Christiano Ronaldo for a record 80 million pounds.Now they have agreed to pay back the huge amount to Manchester United in four instalments, which is fine.
But some years back Arsene Wenger got Nicolas Anelka from P.S.G. in France for 50,000 pounds and sold Anelka to Real Madrid for then a huge amount of 23.5 million pounds, and here also Real Madrid promised to pay in instalments, but Real Madrid failed to keep their word to Arsenal. And Arsenal had to take the case to F.I.F.A., and then Real Madrid cleared the amount to Arsenal.
But here the amount is four times amount, and the whole world is facing a recession, and add to that Real Madrid have spent over 210 million pounds with a further 30 million to be spent on Xavi Alonso .

1) Nicholas Anelka the French and Chelsea striker says that the best strike partner he ever played was with the former Nigerian and Arsenal sriker called Kanu. And Ncholas Anelka should know, because he has played at Arsenal, Real Madrid, Bolton Wanderers, P.S.G and Chelsea.
2 ) The manchester City boss Mark Hughes shopping list for january his getting bigger and longer. The latest added names are Kolo Toure from Arsenal and Lukas Podoloski from Bayern Munich.
3) The Newcastle midfielder Charles NZogbia wants to leave the club and join the french club P.S.G.. But the Newcastle club have made it very clear that they dont want to sell their goalkeeper Shay Given.
4) Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that he very much turned down a chance to meet his hero Frank Sinatra , just because he was upset as Manchester United had lost a game to Charlton Athlatic, that day.
5) Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both very keen for a danish defender called Mathias Jorgensen, who is only eighteen years old and he also made his intenatinol match for Denmark when the played and lost to Wales . He plays for the club F.C.Copenhagen.

CHELSEA VERSES NEWCASTLE UNITED.

The match between Chelsea and Newcastle was suposed to have been an entirely one sided affair. It was a match between the top club in the E.P.L and a club which was struggling and and which was already up for sale with the help of a bank called Seymour Pearce.
On paper Chelsea was definately the better side with astring of costly players, and very talented ones to.
But this is football ,and it did not work out that way at all.
Yes the match was an entirely one sided game, how one sided you can see by the stastics. Chelsea hhad 24 shots on target, and 12 shots of target, and at the same time Newcastle did not have a single shot on target and had 2 shots of target. Chelsea also had a goal disallowed as Joe Cole was clearly offside.
The Newcastle defence did a good job they were a wall against, Anelka, Cole, lampard and Deco.But the hero for Newcastle was clearlyShay Given, There was an incident in which Given cought the ball with both his legs behind the goaline, but the important thing was the ball did not cross the line, when he fell down. The law clearly states that for a goal to be scored the entire ball must cross the goaline. In the end Scolari was cleary frustrated at the draw

THE PROFESSOR AND HIS BOYS.

The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger holds a M.A in economics . And has always believed in his youth team, no matter what their age is. He is more or less a diamond polisher , who polishes these very talented youngsters and even makes them stars overnight. And he also is one manager who spends vey little money on players , like you will never see him spend 17 to30 million pounds on a single player. CHAMPION LEAGUE FOR 2008- 2009.

This years champion league started on 16/9/2008.The first game was between the English club Chelsea verses the French club Bordeaux. The score was Chelsea 4- Bordeaux _0.
The English club was far superiorttheo the French as the French made a apearanc after a long gap of time.
Frank Lampard headed in the first goal in the fourteenth minute, from a Jose Boswigas corner kick, the second goal was scored by Joe Cole who tapped in theball in the net from a Frank Lampard corner. By now Bordeax were chasing shadows and the Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech was a mere spectator. Florent Malouda scored the third goal , just eight minutes before the end and the icing on the cake was a Nickolas Anelka goal in the injury time.
So the match ended 4 _0

ARSENE WENGERS OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Arsene Wenger the French coach of Arsenal holds a diploma in engineering and a masters in economics, and has he not used them well. He is one manager who believes in finding young talent and then developing them into stars.and he usually finds these talented stars sitting on the bench of clubs. Now as the buying and selling of players have started after the playing season is over. People always say that Arsenal do not spend money on big players in a season . But the fans must know that the Arsenal club have a few rules which they follow for years. One is that once a player reaches the age of thirty years he will get a one year contract only ,but it can be renewed at the new season . Even the great Dennis bergkamp did this till he was almost forty years , in last year he came for only twenty odd minutes due to his age. The second rule has always been find young talented stars who do have potential to shine and to find players who are rotting away sitting and warming the benches and make them good footballers.

3 Patrick Vieira bought from A.C.Milan for 3.5 million pounds and sold to Juventus for 13. 7 million pounds.
4 Thierry Henry 10. 5 million pounds and sold to Barcelona for 16 .1 million pounds.

5 Allesander Hlep 4 million dollars sold to Barcelona for 23.5 million dollars.
Arsenal clearly do not believe in spending big amounts on one player. Manchester United spend lavishly for example Luis Nani bought for 17 million pounds. Owen Heargreaves 17 million pounds. and he scored only two goals in the entire season. Luis Saha 14 . 3 million dollars. Carlos Tevez undisclosed Michel Carrick 15 million dollars.
Arsenal have to follow this policy of selling some players each year to make money , as they have to return the money borrowed to build the beautiful Emirate Stadium. This selling players after buying them cheap and developing them as stars an example i the unheard footballer Emmanuel Adebayor , who was bought for roughly 4 million dollars and may be sold to Barcelona for 31 million euros, not a bad sale after all.
