THE EARLY YEARS OF DIEGO ARMANDA MARADONA

Now the great Argentinean footballer Diego Armanda Maradona, had a difficult childhood, he had seven siblings and the two parents all lived in a small  tin shed, in the slums of Buenos  Aires. Crime , poverty, drugs liquor  and prostitution were all around

With a big family and one man earning there never was enough  food to go around. And the mother very often during a meal would leave the table saying she had a very bad stomach or the stomach was paining badly. But the truth was she very well knew there was not enough food to go around./

And three his father got him a football, and all day he played football and dribbled away time .He even slept with the . ball. He was so good with his feet , that his first coach at LITTLE ONIONS, demanded that his mother produce the boys birth certificate, to prove his age. He refused to believe he was eight, he claimed only boys ten or twelve years could do this. At fifteen years he got hos pay check , and with his first salary e got his family a television so they could watch football. Boys hated him and called him a rat a Black boy of dirt, all jealousy.

That coach also said that one day THIS BOY WILL PLAY FOR ARGENTINA AND WIN TROPHIES, i have no doubt about it.

At 17 he was shortlisted for Argentinean team for the world cup 1978, but was dropped as he was young and had no real experience.

Just remember friends your life may not be so bad as Diego's.
