Now Arsenal have gone and signed the young Norwegian play maker Martin Odeggaard from Real Madrid on a six month loan deal only. Arsenal have paid Real Madrid a loan fee of 2,two million pounds only.
But why did the two clubs take such a long time to go and get the deal done.
The reason was Arsenal wanted to have clause added in the loan contract, which was a chance to make the deal a permanent one.
Real Madrid had no desire to add that clause.
The Spaniard Dani Ceballos who is on loan from Real Madrid, played a big part in the convincing the youngster to move to Arsenal over Real Sociedad.
