THE E.P.L.S 2000 GOAL.

Since the E.P.L. started in 1992-1993. A total of 2000goals have been scored.
Brian Dean scored the first goal in the year 1992.
Sir Les Ferdinand scored Goal number 1000 . It was when he scored for Tottenham Hotspur in the year 2001. Ferdinand was given 10,000 pounds to be given to a charity of his choice.
The 2000 goal of the E.P.L. came in 2011, in a match between Arsenal and Aston Villa when the Aston Villa winger Marc Albrighton scored a lucky goal due to a mistake between the two Arsenal defenders.

ONLY FIVE PLAYERS TO SCORE 30 GOALS IN A YEAR.

There have only been five players to score 30 goals for their clubs in a calender year. That is from August to December 31st. And Alan Shearer is the only player to do it twice.
1) Alan Shearer . In the year 1995. 1996. 30. and 36.
2) Less Ferdinand . In the year 1995. 30 goals.
3) Ruud Van Nistelrooy . In the year 2003. 30 Goals.
4)Thierry Henry. In the year 2004. 34 Goals
5) Robin Van Persie. In the year 2011. already 31 Goals.
