ARSENAL OUT OF THE CAGE.

In the first leg of the quarter final game between Arsenal and Barcelona was eagerly awaited at the Emirate stadium. As both teams have a similar style of keeping the ball and making crisp passes, both even make 39 passes to score the goal, it is a joy to watch.But that day arsenal were out played, outclassed and even outfoxed by the mighty Spanish giants.Barcelonas striker Zalatan Ibrahimovic scored early in the second half in the 46th minute and 59th minute.It was Xavi and Messiwho gave arsenal a great deal of worry with their passes, Ineista was injured for this match.
Arsenal then had trouble as William Gallas was carried off and Anrey Arshavin limped out in the 38th minute , both had calf problem. Wenger through his trump and got on Theo Walcott got a good goal back in the 69th minute and the equlizer was scored by penalty as Fabregas was brought down by Carles Puyol, who got a straight redcard, Fabregas scored the penalty with a broken leg in 86th minute. This just shows this youngsters class a desire for the game and team.As fabregas got a second yellow card he misses the second leg , so doer Carles Puyol and Gerrard Pique.

BARCELONA VERSES INTER MILAN.

Barcelona met Inter Milan at the Camp Nou, there was a crowd of over 90,000 to watch this match. Barcelona had injury problems with Lionel Messi and Zalatan Ibrahimovic with thigh injuries, and Yaya Tourie and Eric Abidal down with swine flu. On paper it was Inter who were stronger, Etoo got a big welcome back.But in the game it was all Barcelona, they defended well, their midfield had vision and muscle, in Andrea Inesta the brains and Xavi the muscle. The goals came from Gerrard Pique and Pedro.Inter were chasing shadows,and the Special one Jose Mourinho ran out of ideas.Barcelona had 10 shots on goal to Inters 5 shots, they also had a giant share of possession as usual it was 62 percent, that to aftewr Barcelona released the gas.They had 8 corners to Inters 3 corners.Samuel Etoo did not even get a smell of the ball.Barcelona were by far the better side in all aspects, the goals could have been more but for Julio cesar efferts.Barcelona played two third of the game in Inters half.It was music to the Barcelona fans ,after a draw with Bilbao.

REFEREE TOM .H. OVREBO TAKES THE CENTRE STAGE.

Tom Henning Ovrebo from Norway who was selected for the semi final second leg in the game between Chelsea and Barcelona He made far to many mistakes and as a referee without much experience should not have been chosen by U.E.F.A for this game. Please note will you, he made his debut as a referee in the Euro 2008, game, between Italy and Romania. And he was sent home after he admitted that he failed to give Italy a Luca Toni Goal.
24th minute Florent Malouda , was brought down bt Daniel Alaves, but he said it was outside the box.
26th minute , Drogba was brought down by Eric Abidal.
57th Drogba wasdragged back by Yaya Toure.
82 nd minute .Ball strikes Gerrard Piques arm, when under preasure of Anelka.. Pique admitted the ball touched my hand.
95th Ballack booked for a false appeal for penalty.
66th minute Eric Abidal is shown the red card for the slightest of touches , as Nicolas Anelka went tumbling all over the box.
I hope the secretry of U.E.f.A David Taylor will never appoint such referees for such important games, this refereee , made his debut inEuro 2008 only and not fit for a match of imense tention, no wonder he Drogba lost his head, and tongue as well.
