THE 1990 WORLD CUP AND TOTO SCHELLACHI .

 The world cup  1990 played in Italy , will always be remembered as the TOTO SCHELLACHI   Cup.
 Here  was Toto Schellachi ,who was the fifth striker , and he came from the bench to score a goal.
 He was behind Roberto Baggio, Gianluca Valli  and Robert Mancini, and others.
 But he took his chance with both hands and finished the tournament  with coring six  goals, and also won the golden boot.
 That Italian team were very strong beside strikers they had Walter Zenga  in goal and defenders Paulo Maldini, , Franco Barresi , Alexander Costacruta .
 Italy let in their first goal in the quarter finals against Argentina , Claudio Canigga scored that goal. But they lost to Argentina  in the penalty shoot out.
 Toto Schelachi  played for Juventus for a few years  , he then moved to Japan , where he met Arsene  Wenger , and he became  a real Arsenal fan.
 But what was surprising is he faded fast as he only had 16, sixteen caps for Italy.
 He now lives in Palermo Sicily.

IN THE 2006 WORLD CUP GIANLUIGI BUFFON WAS A WALL FOR ITALY.

 For those wo missed the 2006 world cup  played in unified Germany for the very first time., and was finallly won by Italy  with a penalty shoot out  after playing extra time for a draw.
 The hero here was the Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon who in his first five games at this world cup  he kept clean sheet.
 In fact he conceded only two goals before the finals with  France.,
 Thetwo goals also sadly included a own goal, the ball kicked by the American Cristian  Zaccardo, the ball touched the finger tips of Gianluigi Buffon and went inside . The other goal was scored by  Zinedine Zidane with a penalty kick.
 Gianluii Buffon also saved the penalty shot kicked by David  Trezeguet , which made Italy winners over France at the 2006 world cup.
 This match will be remembered also for the long time Gianluigi Buffon took to be defeated by the very first goal at the world cup.
 Gianluigi Buffon  was undefeated  at this world cup for 460, four hundred and sixty minutes.
But the world cup record  for the longest time a goalkeeper kept a clean sheet  was way back in the year 1990 world cup , the Italian goal keeper then called Walter Zenga was undefeated  for a total of 577, five hundred and seventy seven minutes..
 Walter Zenga was finally beaten buy the Argentinean footballer Claudio Cannigga., in that  years quarter final match played at Bari.

VERY FAMOUS FOOTBALLERS TO FAIL BADLY AS MANAGERS.

Over the years there have been some really good footballers who like Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Roy keane, Walter Zegna, Franck De Boer and Gary Neville These players played for really very big clubs , and were even capable of taking the game to their opponents end and winning matches single handily. And most were Pundits after they retired. But sadly they all failed as managers with clubs in Europe. But at the same time there are very average footballers like Arsene Wenger, who won three E.P.L titles and were THE INVINCIBLES ad he won Seven F.A. Cups, and seven community shields as well. He was 22 twenty two years at Arsenal. The other footballer who became a famous manager was Sir Alex Ferguson.

STEVEN GERRARD IS THE NEW MANAGER OF GLASGOW RANGERS IN SCOTND.

The former Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard, has now taken his first big challenge and is the new manager of Glasgow Rangers, at the IBROX. Steven Gerrard was a very highly talented footballer with a very good football brain, and he was immensely popular at both Liverpool as well as England. But I have won big worry, all famous footballers have not succeeded as managers for example Alan shearer,, Roy keane, Palo D'Dicanio, Dyno Zoff, Walter Zenga , just to name a few of them. But a great deal will depend on the new players Glasgow Rangers sign in the summer. But one thing is crystal clear here that we all should give Steven Gerrard ample f time to improve Glasgow Rangers, a year or even two years will not help anybody here.

SOME GOALKEEPING RECORDS AT THE WORLD CUP.

Iker Casillas the Spanish goalkeeper has seven clean sheets at the world cup. Fabian Barthez of France and Peter Shilton of England have been joint record holders , for keeping clean sheets in ten games at a world cup. Iker Casillas has gone a total of 433 minutes without conceading a goal. The record for the most time to concead a goal is the Italian goalkeeper Walter Zenga, who in the 1990 world cup in Italy went 517 minutes before he let in a goal against Argentina, Claudio Canniga headed in the first goal against Italy in the semi finals. Iker casillas has missed this record by a few minutes only.During their 5-1 defeat against Holland.

IkER CASILLAS IS A WANTED MAN NOW, ZIDANE TO BE A PEACEMAKER.

 It is getting more and more clear that Iker Casillas the Spanish and former  Real  Madrid captain, is no longer the first choice keeper. He lost his place to Claudio Lopez  last year under Jose Mourinho  and neither is Carlo Ancelotti keen to let him start. Selling Mesut Ozil  selling was a big blow to both the Real Madrid players and fans,    , and if they sell Iker Casillas  there is bound to be a civil  war at the Santiago Bernabeu.

He is the only goalkeeper ever to win the best goalkeeper  from 81 countries. He was won it four years in a row 2008,2009,2010, 2011.The previous record holder was Walter Zenga  of Inter Milan  who won it three years in a row in 1989,1990 1991.
 Goalkeepers play till they are even forty years, Dino Zoff is the oldest goalkeeper to lift the world cup in 1982 at 40 years..
 Now Zinedine Zidane wants to speak to Iker Casillas , face to face  and settle it.
