AFTER GOAL KEEPERS LEFT BOTH THESE CLUBS HAD A HARD TIME FINDING A REPLACEMENT.

After the Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmicheal left the club , Alex Ferguson had a great deal of trouble finding a good goalkeeper. Goalkeepers like Fabian Barthez, Mark Bosnich all failed with the rest. Then Alex Ferguson signed 32 year old Dutch goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar for just two million pounds from Fulham. Edwin Van DER SAr lost his place in Juventus , after becoming the first non Italian goalkeeper to keep goal for Juventus. But he lost his place at Juventus to the signing of Gianlughi Buffon from Parma, for a record 32 .4 million pounds. Sir Alex Ferguson openly regretted not buying Edwin Van der Sar from Juventus then. Arsenal had them same problem after David Seamen left Arsenal , then Jens Leahmen studied the boat, but now it will be Petr Cech to stop the goals.

THE SELLING OF CRISTIANO RONALDO DOES SOUND FUNNY I AGREE.

In the post that Real Madrid could sell Cristiano Ronaldo, did indeed sound funny. But let me remind you all that it is not rubbish as it sounds at first. Raul was the darling of Real Madrid fans, he was from their youth accademy, and played many games for Real Madrid, he was Spains record holder with the most goals , before David Villa broke it. He was also top scorer in the Champion league. Roberto Carlos was shocked when after playing eleven years for Real Madrid he was shown the door.Raul was sold to Schalke in Germany. So we can wait and watch what happens.

Iker Casillas the Spanish goalkeeper has seven clean sheets at the world cup. Fabian Barthez of France and Peter Shilton of England have been joint record holders , for keeping clean sheets in ten games at a world cup. Iker Casillas has gone a total of 433 minutes without conceading a goal. The record for the most time to concead a goal is the Italian goalkeeper Walter Zenga, who in the 1990 world cup in Italy went 517 minutes before he let in a goal against Argentina, Claudio Canniga headed in the first goal against Italy in the semi finals. Iker casillas has missed this record by a few minutes only.During their 5-1 defeat against Holland.

LAURENT BLANC TAKES OVER AS MANAGER AT P.S.G.

 The French club P.S.G have now appointed a former French world cup winner Laurent Blanc as manager of the club for two years.
He is vastly experienced as a player as well as a manager. He played in the E.P.L with Manchester United.And even lead the French club Auxerrre   to the French title.
He will be remembered  for the 1998 world cup , where he used to kiss the goalkeeper Fabian Barthez on his bald head for good luck.
A former 1998 team mate Duggarry  recomended Laurent Blanc  for the P.S.G job.

EDWIN VAN DER SAR TO HANG HIS GLOVES.

Edwin Van Der Sar , the former Dutch goalkeeper is to retire from football and hang up his gloves at the end of the season.

After a glittering career of 21 glorious years ,and at the ripe age of 40 years it sadly comes to a end.

He started at ajax in 1990 where he made his debut,i the year 1995 he moved to Italy to play for Juventus, The Old lady of Turin. He then became Juventus first non Italian goalkeeper ever in their history. he joint the English club Fulham, as juventus had brought a great goalkeeper from Pharma for a record 32 million pounds .

Sir Alex Ferguson still regrets that he did not get Edwin Van der Sar, when The Great Dane Peter sch Michael left Manchester united, he got Fabian Barthez in 1999. He then got Edwin Van der Sar in 2005 for 7 million from Fulham.

WHEN FERGUSON MISSED GARETH BALE.

When the Welsh footballer Gareth Bale was a 17 year old prodigy a defender at Southampton, Alex Ferguson wanted him , and usually he gets the footballers he wants.Mainly because of the club and the success after 27 years. And became the first goalkeeper to be substituted in a world cup , either then to a injury or a red card. verses yugoslavia he had let in nine goals.
