THE MUNICH AIR CRASH ON 6/2/1958

It was a sad day for not only Manchester fans only ,but for football fans all over the world.
That sad day a chartered plane carrin a total of 40 passengers and 4 crew members when
returning from a chamion league match at Belgrade Yugoslavia. When it stopped for fuelling
at Munich ,on a cold ,snowy night. The plane had a lot of snow on the wings it over
ran the run way struck a house set it on fire and hit a tree which caused the plane to break in
two. There was a total number of dead were 23 with 21 survivors. Of theseJohn Berry andJohn
Blanchflower ,never ever played again.
Earlier David Pegg and Tommy Taylor exchanged seats with Sir Bobby Charlton and
Dennis Violet. They told Sir Bobby Charlton that They felt safer.Sadly it was not so.
AS luck would have it that sad day a young wizard of footballer called Edward Duncan died
in hospital but another genius in Sir Bobby Charlton was saved. He played over 106 games for
England.
The manager was Matt Busyby who died in1994.At that time Manchester was called The
BUSSY BEES.
Frank Taylor died2002.
The captin James Thorin died in1975.
At Manchester Uniteds OLD TRAFFORD GROUND aclock stands still showing the time of the
air crash.
On the 6/2/2008.The aniversaryday the two managers Sir Alex Ferguson and Sven Goren
Ericson ,layed two wreaths in memory of all those who died that day.
