The final was between the mighty Germans and Denmark.
YUGOSLAVIA were expelled from the tournament because of the cival war and political unrest in the country.
DENMARK who was next qualifier took Yugoslavias place.
Denmark beat Germany in the final 2-0.This is the only incident when a country who did not qualify for the EURO even won the tournament.
1992 was first time ever that footballers had to wear both their number as well as their names on their jerseys.
