Leeds United beat Manchester United at Old Trafford, in front of their own fans , in the third round of the F.A. cup.This is the first time that Sir Alex Ferguson has been knocked out in third round of the F.A. cup. The last time they were knocked out was in 1984 by third division club was by Bournemouth.
Leeds had a bigger desire to win and the goal came from a inform striker Jermaine Beckford, in the 19th minute.Johnny Howson sent a 50 metere pas to Beckford , who controled the ball beautifully and then slotted the ball in the net.
Ferguson was taken aback with the result. He said after the match I must admitt I did not expect this result today.
But the winner is Jermaine Beckford. As NewCastle United are after him to join them, as they are leaders in the second division he will be playing in the E.P.L next year.
