Lionel Messi the Argentinian and he plays his club football at f.c. Barcelona. As he was born in Rosario Argentina of Italian decedents.He started with a hometown club but joined Newells Old Boys in 1995to 2000. He then was wanted by River Plate club, but at a early age it was found he suffered from hormone deficiency , and River Plate could not afford to pay the heavy medical bill on a youngster who had not yet bloomed to be star. But Barcelona came forward to pay all his medical bills, he joint Barcelona in the year 2000, and played for the Barcelona B team from 2004 to 2005 .
It was in his early stage that he could not break into the top team, as they have very good players in their team. So Barcelona wanted to sell him to Espanyol, the contract and terms were allready, all it needed was the signature of Lionel Messi. But Lionel Messi flatly refused to sign and leave Barcelona for any club .It was his gratitude that Barcelona was the only club to treat him.
And now Barcelona are winning mainly because of him.
