The Russian winger Andrei Arshavin , who joined Arsenal on the last day in 2008 ,for a record amount of fifteen million pounds, as it was on the last day of the transfer window and Arshavin was the star of the Euro 2008 Cup he was got. The first year was a good one the four goals verses Liverpool were outstanding. But then he fell from grace, and was used as a substitute more often. Now after spending last season on loan with Russian club Zenit St Peter burg, he and his agent has been told very clearly by Arsenal that he is a surplus at the club. Arshavin himself says he was a very average player for Arsenal.
