Edwin Van der Sar became the first and only non Italian goalkeeper to ever play for Juventus.But he lost his place to the Italian goalkeeper Gianlughi Buffon, who joined Juventus from Pharma for a record 23.2 million pounds, making him the costliest goalkeeper ever. Here again Alex Ferguson was caught napping and Fulham brought Edwin Van der Sar for a few years.. But he did get him in the end.
