It is indeed a great worry for the English manager, the young football players of English origin are getting more and more scarce, or those there do not have the class enough to play for England.
Let us take for example during the 2013/transfer window only 61 players signed so far 12 were English.
While in the year 1992 there were 177 players of English origin who signed for clubs. or for the matter the percentage was a huge 73.1.
Many players signed for the second or for third division clubs , either on loan or on a free transfer.
So no body should dare blame or for the matter sack the manager, because what choice has he got.
While in Germany, Italy, Spain and France they have more home grown players.
It is a fact that these foreign players are more cheap and less fussy for a new contract then England's players. Wayne Rooney and Theo Walcott are examples. The managers literally licked their shoes to keep them in the club.
