SAMUEL ETOO TO JOIN CHELSEA ON A FREE TRANSFER.

 The Cameroon striker Samuel Etoo  who is 32 years old is going to join Chelsea on a free transfer.
 The Russian club Anzhi Machakala  just wanted to get him of their wages , as he was getting 17 million pounds, the highest  paid footballer in the world.
Now Jose Mourinho has admitted that  he can no longer get  Wayne Roney, so he decided on the Cameroon. striker instead.
 Chelsea are not like Arsenal who will not let a player renew  his contract at the club once they are 30 years old, then if the player is really good  it is renewed  for a year at a time..
But Chelsea have  had old players in their history record.
1) George Weah , the only African footballer of the year joined from A.C.Milan in 2000, at 33 years He was a complete flop there only scored one goal for the club.
2) Gianfranco Zola 1996 he joined at 30. But scored  80 goals.A big hit and darling of the club.
3)Gianluca Vialli.  joined at 32  years scored 40 goals . He was a hit.
4)Pop Robson joined at 36 years  in 1982 , but scored  three goals in three years. Was a big flop.
Andreiy Shevchenko.  joined at 30 from A.C.Milan.For 30.8 million pounds  22 goals in three years he was a flop at Chelsea..
 But even though  Samuel Etoo will be joining on a free transfer , it is believed the Russian club  have given a mouth sweetener of multi millon pounds to get him of their wages.
And Chelsea will pay him  ten million pounds as salary.
