BRUNO METSU LOOSES HIS BATTLE WITH CANCER.

Bruno Metsu the French football coach has died at the age of 54, he lost his long battle with cancer. He became famous overnight at the 2002 world cup , which was held by F.I.F.A for the first time in two countries. The two countries chosen were South Korea and Japan, the world cup was also held in Asia for the first time. In the opening match the world champions of 1998 , were to play minnows Senegal, a country making its debut in a world cup. The result shocked everybody as Senegal won the opening match 1-0.But Zinedine Zidane was injured and did not play the opener. Bruno Metsu was known for his long flowing locks of hair and his well draped suits, and he always wanted his team to go forward even if they were leading by a single goal as he very well knew the lead could disappear in minutes.At the 2002 world cup Senegal reached the quarter finals, and some players joined European clubs.
