WHY DID SPAIN LOOSE THEIR 2014 WORLD CUP.?
Spain lost the world cup because of a few reasons.
1) They failed to find a defender at short notice of the class of Carles Puyol, who retired in the middle of the season due to reacuring knee problems and going under the knife a few times.
2) Gerard Pique was useless in the defence, he even lost his place in the second match.
3) Both the Xavis were old Xavi Hernandes who is 34 years old now, did not see the ball in the game against Holland.
He also did not play in the second match. He has now left Barcelona even.
4) Both their strikers Diego Costa and Fernando Torres were useless, as both did not have a realistic shot at the goal. All Diego Costa did was win a penalty.Or it was a whitewash. He had zero shots at goal in 128 minutes.
5) Holland did not allow Spain to play their Tika tika.
6)Spain conceeded 7 goals in their two games, that is more then what they had conceeded in the Euro 2008, 2010 world cup and Euro 2012. There they conceeded only six goals in all.And they played much more games then.
7) Spain have played a total of 113 minutes since Spain have lost two matches in any contest two games in a row.
8) Two successive losses in two two games for a defending champion , is fiirst in any world cup, since 1930.
