But during the whole transfer window , and many talks what really kept the two clubs apart were his huge weekly salary, it was 150,000 pounds a week, and he is getting only 50,000 pounds as weekly salary with Real Madrid, he wanted to treble his salary , something Arsenal would never agree to, and he would be the highest paid player at Arsenal.
