SIR GEOFF HURST SAYS WAYNE ROONEY IS NOT ON THE LEVEL OF SIR BOBBY CHARLTON.

Sir Geoff Hurst the former West Ham united players as well as played for England. He even scored a hat trick in the World Cup finals versus West Germany in England in 1966, the only man to score a hat trick in a world cup final since 1930. He has said that Wayne Rooney who is on the verge of equalling Sir Bobby Charlton's record of 49, forty nine goals for England. But he says both are not on the same class as sir Bobby Charlton is in a class above everyone. The reason being Wayne Rooney has scored those goals being a striker and has scored a few penalties as well to increase the number . But what we must admire here is that Sir Bobby Charlton was a midfielder and they score always less goals then strikes.
