GERRARD HOULIER SAYS LIVERPOOL SIGNED FAR O MANY PLAYERS UNDER BRENDAN RODGERS.

Gerard Houlier the French a manager who was manager at Liverpool for a while until he had heart trouble and forced to retire sadly. He says the big mistake made by Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers was he signed far to many players each time, whether the club really did need them or not, and most of them were average. Arsene Wenger always had said that a manager should sign only three players during a transfer period , as to many of them may just not click , which is very true. Last summer Arsene Wenger only signed a goalkeeper Peter Cech , but he could not sign a single striker of class . This is the quality of a good manager,, there is no need to blow up the money in the budget simply for the sake of it.
