JOHN BARNES SAYS THIRTY YEARS AGO F OOTBALLERS GOING ON STRIKE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN TOLERATED AT ALL..
John Barnes the former Liverpool and England legend who played in the mid eighties to the late nineties , for both England and Liverpool.
He says this striking by players at club level when they do want a move to a club of their choice would not have been tolerated by clubs, other players or by the fans then.
But today you see it happening during each transfer window . , now you can see for yourself the number is more then we like.
1) Diego Costa , flew back to Brazil and has not joined up.
2) Philippe Coutinho , does not want to play for Liverpool.
3) Ousmane Dembele. flew from Germany to France and waited till he joined up with Barcelona.
4) Carlos Tevez flew from Manchester City to Argentina till he got a transfer.
Quite disgusting I must say.
