ARSENE WNGER EXPLAINS WHY HE SOLD OLIVIER GIROUD TO CHELSEWA.
O the last day of the January transfer window Arsenal managed to sign the Gabon striker Pierre Emirick Abumyang from the German club Borussia Dortmund , for a transfer fee of 56, fifty six million pounds, and it was vey , very cheap.. after al he was the golden boot winner last year in Germany. And Liverpool spent 75, seventy five million pounds for Virgil Van Dijk, who is a defender.
But was Arsene wnger right in selling Olivier Giroud to Chelsea?
Now he has made it very clear tat Arsenal sold Olivier Giroud as part of the striker deal for Pierre Emirek Abumyang, but Borussia Dortmund would not finalise the deal for their striker to join Arsenal until they found a good replacement, so they asked Arsenal to give Olivier Giroud as part of the transfer deal.
But Olivier Giroud had flatly refused to leave London, as his wife Jennifer had a third baby and it was impossible for the Giroud family to join any other cliub in Europe.
Arsene Wenger as a sign of gratitude for playing over 200 two hundred games and scoring 105 goals for Arsenal, and saving Arsenal on many a time coming on as a substitute, with goals, especially the scorpion kick against Crystal Palace will remain long in our minds. So he sold him.
And the last piece of the jig saw puzzle , the Belgian striker Michy Batshuyai joined Borussia Dortmund ,.
And it was Arsenal that paid Chelsea the transfer fee of 1 million pounds. Borussia Dortmund just refused to pay that transfer fee
