The English club Liverpool took exactly 24, twenty four hours to break the champion league record for a English club, to score the most goals in the champion league history. This record for the most goals in a Champion League match was held by the English club Manchester City, who a day earlier on 13/2/2018, had scored a total of four goals against the club from Switzerland F.C.Basel. The following day on 14/2/2018 Liverpool defeated F.C.Porto with a 5-0. The Senegal midfielder Saido Mane scored a hat trick and Roberto Firimino and Mohammed Salah scored a goal each. So the Manchester City Champion League record had stood for just twenty four hours.
