Now he shamelessly comes out to say this after nearly twenty years that F.I.F.A had fixed the calendar during the 1998 world cup which was held in France that year. Now that it was being held in France as the host country, France were very keen to win that 1998 world cup. They F.I.F.A fixed it in such a way that France and Brazil would not play each other in the 1998 world cup and if both the countries won all their matches , Then it would be clear that France and Brazil would then play in the finals. If France could do these dirt shameless things they could have paid Brazil to lose the final as well. Brazil lost that final 3-0, with two goals headed in by Zinedine Zidane, and the third goal was a clear offside and the goal scorer Emmanuel Petit even stopped playing for a second as he also thought it was offside, but there was no flag shown or no whistle blown either..
