THE CAPTAIN OF PARMA ALEXANDRO LUCARELLI FINALLY DOES RETIRE AT THE AGE OF FORTY ONE.
The Captain of the Italian club Parma, Alexandro Lucarelli , who had 41years has retired from football , and the club has now gone and retired his jersey number 6, six . This is all about being loyal to your club. When Parma went bankrupt in the year 2004, and were demoted to the fourth tier in Italy, Alexandro Luvcarelli refused to take any weekly wages for that year,. It is very clear that footballers of today only want more and more money, the greed has got the better of these boys, not a single English footballer would dare to forgo a years wages. The only other footballer I can remember who also refuse to take a years salary after Atletico Madrid was demoted. This takes a great deal of courage and to have hat high level of loyalty to the club is just wonderful. Parma were not allowed to play in the Europa League in 2006, as they did not have enough money to pay taxes then which stood at 2000,000 pounds. Parma made four promotions in four years, and next season wil play in Sierra A.
