Now this to far a time gap for a player of the class of Lionel Messi , a footballer who has scored 653 six hundred and fifty three goals for Barcelona. Now the big question is will the flood gates open for Lionel Messi.> Now Lionel Messi is the first world cup player to score a goal as a teenager ,and in his twenties as well as his thirties. No footballer has done this since 1930 first world cup. Lionel Messi becomes the third footballer at a world cup to score at three different world cups. The others to do it are Diego Maradona, Gabriel Batistuta and Lionel Messi. Please note all three are Argentineans.
