A.S. ROMA ARE TO AUCTION THEIR CLUB JERSEYS TO COLLECT MONEY TO HELP FLOOD AFFECTED KERALA..
The famous Italian club A.S. Roma which is based in Rome and play their club football at the Olympic stadium of Rome.
The logo of A.S. Roma is a wolf .as Roman mythology says that the female wolf fed milk to the abandoned two babies Romulus and Reamelus , and these two babies later on founded mighty Rome..
Now A.S. Roma have declared that all the jerseys of the A.S.. Roma players would be collected and auctioned out to the highest bidder, but what is not clear here is will the jerseys be signed by the A.S. Roma players. It will be collected after the first five matches of the new season.
From the time of the EUROPEAN CUP in the year 1988, F.I.F.A and U.E.F.A made a rule that from this tournament onwards both the names and numbers should be printed clearly on the back of the jerseys.
The money collected entirely from this auction will be given to the Kerala flood sufferers in India.
Actually to know a little bit of the severe flood and why it happened, as Kerala has fourteen districts , and has yearly heavy rains but this year it wa very heavy and the dams were all full, and to prevent the dams from bursting 80 eighty gates of the dams were opened, and both the rain and dam water flowing fast caused this calamity.
We from India and Kerala are very grateful to the big gesture by A.S. Roma.
